One of the most beautiful seasons to enjoy in Colorado is fall. The leaves begin to change to beautiful gold, yellow and orange colors, as the temperatures start to drop. A simple drive around the Loveland area can result in amazing views of fall foliage as the leave colors begin to change. There is much to see and do in Loveland in the fall, which is perfect for those who call the area home or nearby Fort Collins. Easily take part in local festivals or events, or simply head out for a nice drive, touring the country side taking in the beautiful water areas and far away mountain peaks.

Loveland Octoberfest

Starting on the 16th of September, the Loveland Octoberfest is a must-see event. The Grimm Brothers Brewhouse hosts the event which features a Bier Garden with beer from craft breweries of the city. German food can be found all around with games and contests for children and adults to enjoy. Listen to live music from artists such as Neue Polka or Dave Beagle and Hazmat.

Breweries that take part in the festivities are Verboten Brewing, Crow Hop Brewing Co, Buckhorn Brewers llc, Loveland Aleworks, Big Thompson Brewery and Big Beaver Brewing Co., not to forget the Grimm Brothers beer. The two day event features food from several vendors including Bedrock BBQ, Styria Bakery II, Gunter’s Bavarian Grill, Artisan Pops and more.

Osborn Farms

To feel the full effect of fall, all families must visit Osborn Farms when October begins. Opening on October 1st, Osborn Farms will feature activities for children including a horse-drawn wagon ride, barrel train, petting zoo and hay rides. Enjoy walking through a field full of pumpkins or shop with local vendors. The farm offers pumpkins, Indian corn, gourds, corn stalks and straw bales for purchase.

Creepy Walk in the Woods

For a spooky adventure, take a walk in the woods with a haunted attraction known as the Creepy Walk in the Woods. Visitors will be walking through Savage Woods which is home to vile and savage creatures. Take an unguided tour of the woods never knowing which creatures you will see. A few days during the month of October, the woods becomes a magical place where children can enjoy a fairy tale experience.

NoCo Mini Maker Faire

A unique event to the Loveland area in the fall is the NoCo Mini Maker Faire. Makers, artisan crafters and inventors all gather in the city to showcase what they can do. The Mini Maker Faire features over 200 makers who show off their inventions, hobbies, crafts and projects. Shop around or simply marvel at what the creative geniuses are able to do with their imagination.
