Loveland Sports Park

For the sports enthusiast, Loveland Sports Park is the ideal spot for outdoor activities. Located on North Boyd Lake Avenue, the park offers a wide variety of sports. Enjoy two sand volleyball courts, two basketball courts, inline hockey rinks, the synthetic turf championship field and skate park. There is also a playground area for children to enjoy as well as a seasonal spray park.

McWhinney-Hahn Sculpture Park

One of the more unique parks in Loveland is the McWhinney-Hahn Sculpture Park. Here, you will be able to walk along beautiful trails around the water as you take in the gorgeous panoramic mountain views. The park is located at I-25 and US-34 for easy access, along Stone Creek Circle. Enjoy a little fresh air and exercise when you visit this local park.

River’s Edge Natural Area

Consisting of 163 acres of natural land, the River’s Edge Natural Area is a lovely place to spend the day. Located at West 1st Street the River’s Edge park provides a host of amenities including 3.8 miles of natural surface trails. These trails can be used for exercise, access to fishing areas, viewing local wildlife or bicycling. There are five ponds in the area, perfect for fishing. Get close to Bass Pond by talking a walk along the Wetland boardwalk. Educational programs are often provided at the Amphitheater as well as Environmental Education stations located in the park.

Boyd Lake State Park

When you enjoy water sports, Boyd Lake State Park is the perfect outdoor area for you. Located at the edge of Long’s Peak and the Continental Divide, the park is perfect for enjoying the natural beauty of the area. Enjoy boating and fishing, camping, having a picnic, swimming, biking, hunting and hiking. The 1,700 surface acres of water of Boyd Lake is always brimming with activity, especially during the summer months. Find a spot along the sandy beach and take in the view with options for swimming near the pavilion.
